David Livingstone left a long legacy of missionary work that led other missionaries to go to Africa and spread the gospel to many other native cultures. He became so famous that a newspaper in Europe sent out a reporter to find Livingstone. To everyone he saw he asked "Dr. Livingstone I presume." One day he finally found the one and only David Livingstone. Livingstone was one of the most promenent missionaries on top of the list with Hudson Taylor, the first missionary to China. Livingstone helped the African people to know God instead of worshiping idols. He helped to save many Africans from the slave trade. He even discovered the great Victoria Falls in his expeditions. He was definitly the right person for the job. If David Livingstone had never gone to Africa then the Africans of his day would not have known about God or the ability to be saved. |
