David
Livingstone
David Livingstone was the greatest missionary ever to go to Africa. He was a man who had grown up with Christianity, and loved to hear about the missionaries in China and other places. Livingstone was skilled in the medical atrs which would turn out to help him greatly in his mission work. He always wanted to be a missionary, but it was not until he went to a speech by Robert Moffat that he wanted to go to Africa. Robert Moffat would turn out to be a very important influence in Livingstone's life. Moffat's daughter would even become Livingstone's wife and helper on the mission field. Livingstone had a great influence on the slave trade and actually helped to stop the progression of the trade. Livingstone had a good influence on many things, but the most prominent was spreading Christianity to Africa. If Livingstone had not gone to Africa then Africa may not have ever been explored for God or the world.
